Over the years I have enjoyed reading the Chicken Soup For The Soul books. At the end of the books they would let people know that you can submit stories on line.
I decided to check it out because I had a story. When I went on their site the topics they were looking for didn’t match but other stories came to me for some of the topics they had up. I wrote up a few and read them to my Honey and made a few changes and I submitted them. Then I did a few more.
Wow three years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing this and I am glad I did. I have some fun stories to share and plan to include a few for my Dad’s father’s day gift. It would be fun and fantastic if one or more of my stories are accepted.
Let’s be bold and go for things we want to do. You never know what will come of it!

This story touched my heart and the video brought tears to my eyes:
I think this is a great way to think outside the box and it gave me a great laugh too!

Recently I was feeling pulled in many directions. While chatting with a friend it came to me that I need to focus on certain areas at this time. I can pick up and do the other things as my schedule opens up.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers out there (bio, step, Father-Friend and other)!
Celebrate & Have Fun
Father’s Day is coming, take some time today to think &/or write about him. What is a great Dad memory you have that brings you bliss, laughter or other enjoyable feeling about your Dad?
Usually I buy a beautiful wedding frame for a wedding gift. While shopping I ran across a great gift that was different from my norm. I am excited to give it to the couple on their special day.
Let’s be open to possibilities, we never know what will show up in front of us.
This quote spoke to me, from the book Modern Energy Tapping and I wanted to share it: “If you fill your mind to overflowing with beautiful things, there can be no room left for doubt.” By Silvia Hartmann

Taking a Happy Place Vacation
Write about a happy place you love to go to or create a happy place you’d love to visit. What does it smell like, is it by the sea or in the mountains…. Let your mind take you (back) there and enjoy the amazing experience.
This is a great post and brought tears to my eyes:
Recently music has come up for me in a few different ways. My Honey and I were picking out songs we liked to create a song list to enjoy and a friend that’s family and I were having fun listening to music we listened to in our youth. It brought back fond memories and created new ones with my Honey.
Music can be powerful. Find some to add joy, peace &/or energy in your day!
While taking a drive on the Oregon coast on an unusual sunny beautiful day in May we decided to drive to Moe’s at Cannon Beach to have dinner. As we were driving I could see this dark cloud front moving in. When we arrived there were two fronts coming towards each other and the wind had picked up.
When we went to be seated, they suggested the patio. I was dubious with the clouds rolling in but it was warm and sunny. We enjoyed our dinner and headed out. Within 5 minutes of leaving the sun disappeared and the rain started. We were glad to have a beautiful outdoor dinner at the coast. It felt magical.
We never know when a magical moment will happen, enjoy them when they do.
What are somethings in your life you’d like to do but have resistance moving forward with it? The inner voice might say “you’re not ready” or “That’s to big” or “No way!”
Write these down and start tapping on them so when an opportunity comes up you’ll be more ready to go for it!
Today we are going to tap on resistance to doing something. We all have it and it’s important to release it then we can move forward on it.
Check in on the number between 0 – 10 and rate it.
Tapping on the karate chop point and say this 2 times: Even though I feel this resistance about _____________(fill in the blank) I love and accept myself
Even though I feel this resistance about _____________(fill in the blank) I choose to release it
Tap on the other points alternating saying these:
I choose to let it go
Take a few deep breaths. Check in on your number and if it is down to 2 or lower your done and if not you can do another round of tapping. By saying: This remaining ___(fill in the number).
When you get your number down 2 or less you can do a round of tapping on more joy, peace or calm if you choose to.
Recently I was contacted by a news station about my business and I was nervous to call. I want to help people but going that big felt outside of my comfort zone. I’ve been working with a mentor, Helen McConnell, to release blocks to be bigger. Earlier, when we’d spoke about it I felt I’d be ready if someone called for me to do a presentation about it but some of the resistance was still there. I tapped about it, pulled on my big girl pants and made the call. It felt great move past this resistance.
I know when the next opportunity comes up, I’ll have less inner conflict and make the call!
We never know what we’ll come across in our day. Today I was enjoying a day at the coast. I wanted to see the sea before we did other plans. We ended up on Netarts Basin Boat Rd in Oregon. There was an open air restaurant with an amazing water view, called Schooner’s. We had other plans for lunch but we plan to visit this gem on another adventure by the sea. It’s fun to find future adventure destinations.
Let’s keep our eyes open for those unexpected gems and visit them when we can.
Wow, here is a powerful quote from the book: Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Empowered Woman, by Amy Newmark, page 9
"Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. ~St. Francis of Assisi"
Let’s start small and with time we can be doing more than we anticipated.
