In our busy lives we can breathe shallow or catch our breath at times and it can affect how we feel. Do this breathing practice two - three times in a row and enjoy the calmer feeling.
Let’s take time in our day to slow down, honor our body and focus on our breathing.
As I was traveling home from a wedding event of my dear friend that is family, my train was running late. I was reminded of another event where there was a snafu with a return trip home. My friends Mom said to me “to relax and enjoy the ride.”
Sometimes snafu’s happen and I need to just go with it. The traveling was a great time to be with my Honey and pass the time with him. It was another reminder for me that we are a great fit. I’m thankful for him and all the amazing people that have touched my life and become family.
When a hitch happens, let’s relax and go with it.
The Holidays are around the corner and stress can creep in so let’s Tap on it and dial it down:
Check in with yourself and rate it between 0 – 10. Tap on Karate chop Point and say this three times (chart above):
Even though I feel Holiday stress I love and accept myself as I am
Top of head This Holiday stress
Eye brow – Feeling tense
Side of eye – This Holiday stress at a ____ (fill in your rate #)
Under eye - I want to dial it down
Under nose – This Holiday stress
Chin – I am letting it go
Collar bone - I feel is draining from my body
Under the arm – feeling calm and peaceful
Take some deep breaths, drink some water and check in on your #. If it is a 3 or higher do another round.
Let’s dial down our Holiday stress and enjoy the peace.
Sometimes we are so busy we don’t take time to reflect on all the great we did in our week.
Let’s reflect and celebrate our successes for the week small to big!
My mentor Helen McConnell wrote her first book recently: 10 Simple Things You Can Do Now to Profoundly Change the World.
I was glad I bought one and asked her to sign it. My copy was the first book she signed. She gives great advice and has much to share with the world. Helping yourself heal can help others. Her message is beautiful and so true.

Let’s check in with ourselves today and decide what we want to accomplish this week. Now come up with four small, simple, actionable steps towards them.
Sometimes my skin gets dry and this can be the start of that season for me. At times I like the convenience of hand sanitizer and it can add to the dryness.
There were some posts about homemade hand sanitizer. When I looked there was more than one recipe for this and some were alcohol free. I can’t wait to make some and try it out. Checkout the link for one made with some doTerra: https://www.doterra.com/US/en/blog/recipes-hand-cleansing-gel
My hands will thank me for using something less drying and this brings a smile to my face and more bliss in my life.
Let’s be open to more smiles and bliss and add to our “Joyful Life Living.”
There are many ways to be mindful or be in the moment. Recently I was reminded about how much I’m not in the moment and if I added that time up I might be surprised by the amount. Some of those times are around doing tasks I don’t enjoy. When we are doing some of those mundane or unpleasant tasks instead of checking out or thinking how wretched these are:
Let’s find some good or even better great in it!
For example: Cleaning the bathroom isn’t my favorite task although focusing on having a cleaner bathroom that smells fresh can help with this and if you have someone to share the task it can go faster too.
I've been learning more about essential oils and just heard about this free doTerra event (flyer said it's open to all). It's going to be in different cities. Check the dates, places and times here: https://www.doterra.com/US/en/post-convention-tour
I was feeling off the other day and I realized I needed to do some Tapping. I do this daily however this day I needed more. I feel better when I Tap. Some options when I do this are:
• During a meeting or class
• Ridding in the car
• When I am feeling out of sorts
Let’s remember to Tap daily. It can change lives.
Life can get overwhelming at times and over thinking can happen at times. Tapping can help with this:
Tap on Karate chop point and say
Even though I feel _____ (overwhelmed or fill in the blank) and I over think things at times I love and accept myself as I am. Even though I feel _____ (overwhelmed or fill in the blank) and I over think things at times I love and accept myself as I am. Even though I feel _____ (overwhelmed or fill in the blank) and I over think things at times I choose to release the _____ (overwhelm or fill in the blank) and use my tools to get me through.
If you want to do a round of Tapping look at chart and say reminder phrases below.
Top of the head - Feeling overwhelmed
Eye brow – I choose to let it go
Side of eye – Feeling overwhelmed
Under eye – I choose to let it go
Under nose – Feeling overwhelmed
On the chin –I choose to let it go
Collar bone – And use my tools
Under the arm –I am letting it go and using my tools
Take a couple of deep breaths, drink some water. Way to go on doing a round of tapping.
Let’s release the overwhelming feeling so we can feel more at ease.
There have been times in my life that I’ve been told I’m over thinking. Sometimes I need to rein my brain in. At these times I need to use and rely on my tools and techniques to help me through. A few things that can help with this are:
Let’s rein in our brains and use our tools, practices and techniques when needed.
Let’s take time for breathing
Pause in a quiet spot
Today’s writing is inspired by: 101 Journal Questions for Women, by Tony T Robinson. Let’s write or ponder about: fretful, nervous and or unsettling feelings. When I think about _____________(fill in the blank I feel fretful, nervous, unsettle.
I thought this was an interesting question to free write and ponder about and tomorrow I’ll post a Tapping on this. When we know what we need to let go of we can use tapping, oils and other options to help release the feelings around it.
If feelings get stirred up from this you can smell or diffuse some essential oils. Here are a few suggestions; lavender, balance, serenity blend or look up others to use. Checkout my doTerra Website:
Let's come up with one to a few words to go with:
I Am ________________________. Here are a few suggestions:
Saying something simple and uplifting can add joy to our day.
Inspired by quote from 50 Best Positive Thoughts, number 5
Think about positive words people have said about you. Write them down in your journal that you’ve heard from others and you know about yourself. When you need a lift read them.
Let's be reminded of the great person we are.
Let’s pay attention to when the feeling of love comes up so we can revisit it when needed.
This can add more joy to our lives. This article had some good information about love and was my inspiration for this blog.
It’s fun to find new books and I just found one that I thought would give us new ideas to write about. These can be for men & women even though it’s called: 101 Journal Questions for Women, By Tony T Robinson.
I think some of these will add to Writing Wednesday’s. If you don’t want to write about a topic ponder it. It might add to your day &/or give some insights too. Here is one:
“What makes you smile?”
When going through your day and you notice your smiling think about what brought that on and when you need an extra smile look in your journal or remember this and others.
It’s nice to have a smile bank to tap into when needed.
We all have some stress in our life at some point. Below is a round of Tapping on stress and picture of the points:

Tap on these points and say the statement next to it
Top of the head -This stress
Eye brow – I choose to dial it down
Side of eye –This stress
Under eye – I’m letting it go
Under nose –This stress
