While writing to my family member I had another eye opener. When I was growing up a family member would talk about being strong, this meant no tears.
This wasn’t a fit for me but I wanted to make this my own and recently I did. Being strong for me is, knowing I can be vulnerable, shed tears and still be strong and stand in my power. In fact, this makes me stronger by loving myself as I am, living my truth and hopefully becoming closer to my true self.
If something doesn’t quite work for yourself, think about it, journal on it and make it your own.
